IDDS Hogares Sostenibles en Guatemala

As I watch the organic waste team engage Kaqchikel-speaking community members in Santa Catarina, I feel inspired again by the hard work they have put into the project and their ongoing commitment to the process of co-design, despite multiple challenges, language barriers, and limited time. This team's work on a composting system will complement the work of 7 other teams around food, water, sanitation, and energy - building towards a broader vision of integrated projects on sustainable homes in the community.

Note: Kaqchikel is one of the many indigenous languages in Guatemala.
